In this article, I will give you a complete Syllabus, Exam Pattern, and Salary of GDS(Gramin Dak Sevak) to MTS(Multi Tasking Staff), Postman, Mail Guard, Postal Assistant(PA), and Sorting Assistant(SA) in PDF.
The GDS can't be directly promoted as it is an extra-departmental post. GDS needs to appear and pass this departmental examination to get promoted to the above posts.
Exam Pattern of GDS to MTS/POSTMAN/MAILGAURD/POSTAL ASSISTANT(PA)/SORTING ASSISTANT(SA):
Candidates need to pass a total of 3 Papers i.e. Paper-I, Paper-II, and Paper-III.
Paper-I is MCQ(Multiple Choice Questions) type, Paper-II is MCQ and Subjective type, and Paper-III is taken on the computer.
Paper-I divided it into 2 parts i.e. PART I and PART II. The maximum mark for this paper is 150. The time duration of this paper is 90 Minutes.
The maximum mark for Paper-II is 50 and the time duration is 60 minutes.
Paper-III is taken on a computer and the maximum marks are 25 and the time duration is 15 minutes.
All these papers are bilingual i.e. Hindi, English, and local language where Hindi is not the local language.
The minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST is 33%, for OBC it is 37% and for other categories, it is 40%.

Paper-I:
The Paper-I of this exam consists of two parts i.e. Part A and Part B. Maximum marks for PART A is 100 and consist of 50 questions of 2 mark each. The maximum marks for PART B are 50 and consist of 25 questions of 2 marks each.
