1. 29 March 1857 - Revolt of 1857 - This revolt was started by Mangal Pandey, who was a soldier of 37 regiments.
2. 2 August 1858 - Government of India Act 1858 - After the enactment of this act, the rule of the East India Company was abolished and the rule of India came under the control of the British Queen.
