Which camera is better: DSLR vs Smartphone
If you want to capture high-quality images then DSLR cameras are the best choice for you.

But we have smartphones also like iPhone which captures high-quality photos. Does it mean that DSLR Cameras are fade away?

DSLR Cameras come with advanced technology nowadays.

In this article, I will tell which one is better DSLR or Smartphone camera.

The smartphones are so handy, you can carry them anywhere. Lots of people are using more than one smartphone. Only a few persons can purchase DSLR.

If you are going anywhere out of the city then it is easy to take a smartphone than DSLR because DSLRs are heavy than a smartphone and it takes more space than smartphones. If you take photos there then it is easy to share on social media handles. We cannot share photos with the DSLR itself.

If you are using a smartphone then you can edit your photos or videos with different software but if you are using DSLR then there is no such option for editing. Although some of the new DSLR come with image editing features still it has some limits.

There are lots of software such as PicsArt, snapseed, lightroom, etc... are available to edit images and videos on smartphones.

Now a day DSLR comes with advanced functionality such as NFC, Wifi, etc… You can share your photos with these functions. You need to install the Camera app on your smartphone to use these features.

The image size captured by smartphones is lower than the Image captured with DSLR.

Professional DSLR cameras are so expensive than smartphones. However, you need to purchase different lenses and accessories along with DSLR.

Though smartphone camera has lots of benefits in terms of picture quality smartphones cames has limitations. Smartphones camera cannot provide the full-color range as that of the DSLR camera.

The photo captured with DSLR Camera is more colorful and looks awesome than photos captured with smartphones. You can also adjust the colors in the DSLR camera.

You can change different lenses according to the requirement in DSLR Cameras. This kind of facility is not in smartphone cameras. You can zoom the images with DSLR and your picture quality is the same, but in the case of the smartphone, if you zoom the camera and capture the image then image quality is not good.

You cannot capture good images with a smartphone in low light. You can capture good images even in low light with DSLRs. The smartphone comes with a flashlight but if you use a flashlight it creates a red-eye effect in photos.

The smartphone camera has an electronic shutter and display but in DSLR, it has a physical shutter and viewfinder. You cannot capture moving images on smartphones but it is possible with DSLR cameras. A smartphone's camera comes with an autofocus facility.

The DSLR Camera needs more space than the smartphone camera as it captures high-quality photos and videos. Generally, SD cards are used in DSLR cameras for storage.

The image processor in smartphones is not as good as DSLR cameras. The processor in the DSLR is made only to process images and videos but in the case of smartphones, it is made for all processes carried out in smartphones.

Canon Cameras come with Digic Processors and Nikon cameras come with Expeed Processors.

The flash in the smartphone camera is LED flash but in the case of DSLR, it is xenon flash which is more useful while taking photos.

The viewing angle is also different in DSLR but in the case of a smartphone, it is fixed. The batteries in the DSLR are so powerful but in the case of smartphones, it is not that powerful.

In the end, the question is which is better, DSLR or Smartphones camera. Well, it completely depends on you. It depends on your needs. If you want to capture images for uploading in your social media handles then the smartphone camera is best for you. If you want to take professional Images then you must go for DSLR cameras.

Wedding photographers or Fashion photographers always use DSLR cameras to shoot photos or videos because professional photos cannot be captured with a smartphone camera.

In the case of portability Smartphones camera are best as it lightweight and you can easily carry them.
