The civil disobedience Movement started from Champaran District.

First of all, let us understand what had to be done in the Civil Disobedience Movement.

b.No one will pay any kind of tax to the British Government.

c.Government Institutions and Organizations had to be boycotted like schools, colleges, courts, etc...

d.Civil services, military, and police were also to be boycotted.

e.If you work in the British government, then you will have to leave it.

f.Have to go on a peaceful dharna in front of the shops.

Gandhiji made a plan to go to Dharasana Salt Walk and also challenged the then Viceroy Lord Irwin.

The British government tried to stop it and imprisoned Gandhiji and some leaders. After Gandhi's arrest, Abbas Tyabji and Kasturba Gandhi became leaders but the police also arrested them on the way.

After this Sarojini Naidu led this movement. The police started lathi-chargee as soon as they reached the dharasana.

Despite the arrest of all the big leaders, this movement was moving forward. The British government started putting all the lawbreakers in jail and also started confiscating their properties. But the British government was failing.

The First Round Table Conference was held in London in 1930 to discuss the report of the Simon Commission. Indian National Congress has not reached London because they were busy in the civil disobedience movement.

Due to the absence of the Indian National Congress, the First Round Table Conference had failed, so the British Government now wanted that the Indian National Congress should arrive at Second Round Table Conference.

The pressure to bring INC to the Second Round Table Conference had come on Lord Irwin, the Viceroy of India.

Lord Irwin reached Gandhiji and an agreement was made between them, it is also called the Gandhi-Irwin pact and the Civil Disobedience Movement came to an end.
