In this article, we discuss the Hindustan Republican Association in 1924 and its aims and founder.

The British government had imposed the Rowlatt Act in India during the First World War so that there should be no revolutionary activity. After that, the Jallianwala Bag Incident also took place at the festival of Baisakhi.

The people of India were constantly trying that they should get complete independence. The movement had also started, but in 1922, Gandhiji stopped it due to the Chauri Chaura incident.

Then the Swaraj Party tried to fulfill it in a constitutional way. But these methods were also not working properly.

Now the young revolutionaries felt that if we want to get Swaraj, then we will have to adopt some revolutionary method.

That's why a meeting was held in Kanpur in 1924 in which all the revolutionaries do decide about how to do the revolutionary movement, its name was Hindustan Republican Association.


Founder of Hindustan Republican Association:

Hindustan Republican Association was established in October 1924 in Kanpur. Its founders were Ram Prasad Bismil, Chandrasekhar Azad and Sachindra Sanyal.
